Day 2 PCH (Saturday, September 15, 2012)

We were so grateful to have Nauni come out to help with the baby. She wasn't planning on coming out until Oct. 29th, but since Brandon came early, she rushed on out and was a HUGE help!! She had the great idea of going up the canyon to see if there were any leaves left. I thought for sure we had missed them, but boy was I wrong. They were absolutely exquisite in every way. It felt so good to get out and enjoy the fresh air. It was the most peaceful and calm place as well. I was so happy to be able to get out and enjoy this beautiful world.

Look at that size difference! Who knew they could grow up so fast!!
Daddy does this, so Adam can't quite figure out why Brandon doesn't quite like it yet:)

I don't even think Adam knew what a pacifier was when he was little, but he sure has picked up the concept now that "Baby Brandon" is around:)
Brandon is here! He came 11 days early, but is healthy and just beautiful. My water broke at 1:00am, we checked into the hospital at 2:30am, I got my antibiotics in, then got an epidural at 4:30am, and then just waited for my second dose of antibiotics and for the midwife to come in while little Brandon was down and ready to come out. He was ready around 7:30am, but we waited a little while and then with less than 10 minutes of pushing, at 8:19am, he was here!! It really was just an amazing delivery and neat experience. We are so, so grateful to have such a healthy and beautiful boy!
Brandon just wanted to say "Hi!"
Getting ready to come home
Adam was not able to come to the hospital to visit, due to new strict flu regulations. We were really sad about that, but they quickly got acquainted once we got home. Adam actually cried when he first saw Brandon and showed little interest, but he got over that pretty quick!
We got Adam a big boy bed for his birthday. It is actually a bunk bed, but right now we have them separated. Adam got to help pick out the bed and his sheets. We thought this would help ease the transition and help him be excited for the change. As always, I think the changes are always a little harder on Mom than on him!!
This a picture of the bunk beds put together from KSL. That is where we bought them from. I think we got a great deal!!
