My Marathon Man!

SALT LAKE CITY MARATHON
April 17, 2010
Michael, Krystle, and David all ran. Krystle did the Half Marathon and David and Michael did the whole 26.2 miles!! They all did such a great job!

David at mile 13. Halfway there and lookin' good:)

Here are the fans!
I love this marathon because there are so many places you can stop and see the runners. We got to see David at mile 2, 13, 17, and at the finish. We attempted to see him at mile 5 and 6, but missed him. Jordan and Amber met up with David at about mile 22 and ran with him for a few miles. He had a lot of support!

David Mile 17

David making the round to the finish line. Almost there!

They finished at the Gateway Mall It is a cool finish.

Something happened to my camera, so most of my pics didn't turn out, but this one, if you can tell, was cute. Adam gave David a BIG hug!

More fans at the finish!
I am so proud of David. He had taken a whole year off of running to heal from an injury he had. He started back up running last August doing only a half mile. He slowly worked his way up running all winter long to be able to finish this race. He was injury free and just did an amazing job! He was so dedicated and had such discipline throughout his entire training. He is my Marathon Man and I couldn't be prouder!
Love Ya Sweeties!

This video is from the beginning of the race (mile 2):

URTA Conference

URTA Conference 2010 in Aspen Grove
I got roped into presenting at the Utah Recreation Therapy Association (URTA) Conference this year. Luckily, my friend, Erica, agreed to do it with me! We were both really nervous, but were glad we did it in the end. It was a lot of work, but we got good reviews and felt like the presentation went well. Our session was called, "Keeping Recreation Therapy Alive in a Dying Economy."

It was so fun for me to spend the rest of the day at the Conference. I saw so many old friends that I used to work with or went to school with or volunteered on the board with. I just love conferences too, because I get so rejuvinated and enjoy learning. It also gives me fresh new ideas and perspective for the kids that I work with. I am so thankful that David still supports me in keeping my licensure and certification! It means a lot to me.

How Could I Be Mad?

Adam knows not to wake Brandon up, so when I heard some noises upstairs, I had to go and investigate. The door was shut and I heard Adam talking and Brandon laughing. It was so sweet I sat and listened a little longer. Adam was just playing and conversing as Brandon responded. Then when I went into the room, I saw this...

Really, how could you be mad??

HOPPY EASTER!

CITY EASTER EGG HUNT
Our Easter festivites began at our local rec center. They had an Easter Egg Hunt in the pool!! It was pretty cool. My friend and her two little girls came with us. It was way crowded, but we had a good time.
Adam and Moriah waiting patiently for the word "GO!"

They divided it into age groups and each child got 3 eggs, so it was fair and fun.

They also had a carnival and pizza to eat.

Easter at the House

The Easter Bunny made its way to our house!

Easter Party at Grandma and Grandpa's

Working on sitting, but not quite there yet!
We were definitley spoiled this year that is for sure!
We also got to listen to a wonderful General Conference from our church leaders and had delicious meals at Grandma Warren's! We love these times we have to get together with family.
