Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'!

Well it's not exactly his main mode of transportation, but Brandon can do it! He rarely rolls over, but somehow I was able to catch him! He can also roll from his back to his stomach, but I've never actually seen him do it. I just find him up on his tummy every time I go into feed him at night or in the morning.

Green Eggs and Pancakes

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Here is a little story for all you Dr. Seuss Fans out there. (Of course the rhyming isn't quite right, but you get the idea:)
I am Mom
Mom I am.
Do you like green eggs and pancakes?

That Mom-I-am! That Mom-I-am! I do not like that Mom-I-am! I do not like them, Mom-I-am. I do not like green eggs and pancakes.

Would you like them here or there?
Would you like them in a house?
Would you like them with a mouse?
Would you? Could you? In a Car?
Eat Them! Eat Them! Here they are.

You do not like them. So you say.
Try them! Try them! And you may.
Try them and you may, I say.

Mom! If you will let me be, I will try them. You will see.

Say! I like green eggs and pancakes!
I do! I like them Mom-I-am!
And I would eat them in a car.
And I would eat them in a house.
And I would eat them with a mouse.
And I will eat them here and there.
Say! I will eat them ANYWHERE!

I do so like green eggs and pancakes!
Thank you! Thank you, Mom I am!

Surely Heaven Weeps...

...With my dear friend. She lost her 4 1/2 month old baby boy this week and as she laid him to rest, the rain and snow came down. She said, "surely heaven weeps." But at the same time, Heaven must rejoice, for the return of this perfect spirit whose life here was so short. My heart goes out to her and her husband at this time. The funeral was beautiful and the spirit was strong. Truly, the veil was thin to strengthen all those who were there.

This time has made me reflect on my beliefs and the great comfort that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. There could be NO other way to go through a trial such as this. I also have thought about how much the Lord blesses us through the simple joys of everyday life and how we can never take that for granted. There is so much love and beauty that surrounds us, if we only choose to look for it. Our Savior Jesus Christ can bring us that peace because He suffered and died for each one of us. He also has a plan for each of us and we are promised that families can be together forever.

I thought about a song that one of our beloved prophets wrote. It is just a beautiful song. I don't know how to get the music on here, but if you ever find it, it is worth listening too!

What Is This Thing Man Calls Death?
Text: Gordon B. Hinckley
Music: Janice Kapp Perry
What is this thing than men call death?
This quiet passing in the night?
'Tis not the end but genesis
Of better worlds and greater light.
O God, touch Thou my aching heart
And calm my troubled, haunting fears.
Let hope and faith, transcendent, pure,
Give strength and peace beyond my tears.
There is no death, but only change,
With recompense for vict'ry won.
The gift of Him who loved all men,
The Son of God, The Holy One.
Although her sweet baby's life was short, he taught and loved so much!

Brian Regan

For David's Birthday, I got him tickets to Brian Regan. We went with Erin and Mike and Michael and Lacy. Since I have never been to a comedian show, I didn't really know what to expect, but I was completely and totally entertained!! Both Erin and I commented on how much our cheeks hurt after the show. It was a really fun evening and so nice to be able to go out on a date without the kids for the first time!!! Thanks Grandma!

I included a short clip of Brian Regan. This was just one of the shortest ones, for you to get an idea, but he has got some FUNNY stuff. No wonder David and Michael are always going around quoting him. Brian Regan is also very clean, that is what is so great about him! I couldn't believe how many kids were at the show last night!!

ENJOY!
